“Jewelery and Anatomy” at Tincal Lab until the end of the year
With the main objective of showing the quality and diversity of contemporary jewelery, opening its doors to the general public, Tincal lab invites jewelers from around the world every year for a challenge: the creation of up to three pieces with a maximum price of 100 € each, inspired by a theme.
Having in previous years explored the themes Architecture, Cinema, Music and Technology, the fifth edition of this initiative proposed a reflection on the theme “Jewelery and Anatomy” and resulted in over 100 pieces from almost 60 jewelers from around 30 different countries, created exclusively for the event.
This collective exhibition of unique features is on display at Tincal lab, CCBombarda store 25 in Porto, until the end of 2019. In this exhibition, artists use anatomy as a source of inspiration, question the relationship between jewelry and body, explore colors, textures, shapes and materials, they provoke provocations, test physical limits and arouse sensations through unique objects that, more than jewels, are reflections, stories, works of art.
