Goldsmith Contest celebrates “500 years of Camões’s birth”
The Portuguese Association of the Goldsmith Industry (APIO) just announced that the chosen theme for the 16º Goldsmith Contest will be dedicated to the “500 years of Camões’s birth”.
“During this year, we celebrate the 500 years of the birth of the illusory poet Luís Vaz Camões. Although an official program of commemorations was not established by the Council of Ministers, the APIO has decided to mark this edition in homage to one of the biggest figures in Portuguese literature”, reveals the association.
APIO invites “all the listeners and goldsmith course students to participate in this celebration of the Portuguese culture and creativity. Challenge yourselves to explore the depths of Camões’s work and to express your unique interpretation through your creations”.
