Marcolino marks 100 years with gala dinner
Under the concept “100 Years of Telling Stories”, Marcolino’s centenary celebrations are taking shape as a true ecosystem of cultural, artistic, institutional and social moments, aligned with the brand’s overall strategy: preserving its legacy, strengthening its identity and embracing a contemporary, relevant and international vision.
The celebrations began with a symbolic tribute to the people of Marcolino — employees, partners and family members — through the presentation of the 100 Years Pin and the production of an institutional video paying tribute to those who have built the brand across generations.
The brand’s urban and heritage dimension has also taken centre stage with the illumination of Marcolino’s historic façade, featuring the centenary logo and transforming the building into a living and communicative element of the city for several months. The brand’s history is explored in greater depth in a commemorative book marking its 100th anniversary, developed in partnership with historian Francisco Queiroz. The publication covers not only Marcolino’s journey, but also the evolution of watchmaking and jewellery in Portugal and their connection to Porto.
The programme also includes a strong social dimension, with a charitable initiative in partnership with Centro Paroquial Nossa Senhora da Vitória, reinforcing Marcolino’s commitment to the community where it was founded and has grown. On the cultural and artistic front, highlights include urban and artistic intervention projects, competitions open to young creators, and a temporary exhibition, positioning Marcolino as an active contributor to the city’s cultural life.
The celebrations will culminate in the Centenary Gala Dinner, scheduled for 24 September 2026 — an exclusive event of exceptional sophistication that will bring together clients, partners, distinguished guests and institutional representatives for a collective celebration of Marcolino’s journey.
“Marcolino’s centenary is not merely a celebration of the past. Above all, it is a commitment to the future, to the city, to people and to the values that have brought us this far,” emphasises Miguel Neves, the company’s COO.
