Portojóia advocates for diversification in the sector
The 2022 edition of Portojóia saw new elements, including the ‘Art & Jewels’ Initiative, which relies on the presence of the ceramics, weaving, painting and decorating sectors. The objective is “to bring together completely different areas that may have continuity in their future. Even on a commercial level, I think that it is still important to unite these new generations”, says Amélia Estevão, director of Portojóia.
Both national and international clients were in attendance, including from Angola and Spain, something that Amélia Estevão considers “very gratifying to see clients doing business”.
The exhibition brought together almost 100 exhibitors, with Topázio and Inês Barbosa making their mark at the fair after an absence of nine years.
