E-Lapidar is back with new sessions.

On April 22nd, the first session went of the Italian Market, at a time when the sector is seeking to orientate its industry, both jewellery and watchmaking.

The AORP organised this digital conference “at a time where international holidays were postponed or cancelled, AORP is searching to orientate the industry relative to opportunities in external markets, with the support of the Portuguese Agency for Investment and External Trade (AICEP).”

With national and international speakers, the conference sought to address the “opportunities of the Italian, German and Asian markets, sharing best practices and inputs from various experts in the sector”.

The Italian market, which had been registering significant importance and potential for Portugal, was strongly marked by the pandemic. In these challenging circumstances, Portuguese jewellery seeks to continue to take the “Made in Portugal” brand to Italian territory and to make the Portuguese legacy known at the largest international fair in Europe and one of the most important worldwide, VicenzaOro.

E-Lapidar’s Digital conference with Marco Carniello, General Director of VicenzaOro, explains “how the fair has adapted to the current circumstances and taken on a hybrid format to ensure that it can be held”.

Eduardo Souto Moura, AICEP’s delegate in Italy, shared “internationalisation strategies for this market” and Maximilian Linz, who works in partnership with StudioZeta, a showroom based in Milan, presented “his perspective as a buyer in this market”.

The first session of E-Lapidar was moderated by Margarida Brito Paes, former Digital Editor of Elle Portugal magazine, an expert in the fashion sector.
