Survey on indicative hourly rates in the goldsmithing sector
Promoted by APIO and AORP, the initiative runs until 15 May and aims to assess the feasibility of defining an indicative hourly rate for manufacturing activities and service provision in companies and among professionals in the goldsmithing sector.
The definition of an indicative hourly rate is intended as a support measure for the activities of companies and professionals in the goldsmithing sector, in a context where the proper valuation of specialist work is taking on an increasingly important role.
The rate under consideration, should it be published, will not be binding, serving exclusively as a technical benchmark to support budgeting, cost calculation and greater economic sustainability across the sector.
To support this analysis, a survey has been developed to gather information on the rates currently charged by companies and professionals, as well as perceptions of how appropriate those rates are in light of operating costs, technical requirements and the specific nature of the activity.
According to the promoting bodies, all responses are treated with full anonymity and confidentiality, and the data will be used only in aggregated form for statistical and associative purposes.
Widespread participation from the sector is considered essential to ensure that any future benchmark accurately and fairly reflects the actual conditions of the industry.
Interested parties may take part via the online form provided by the associations. Alternatively, a questionnaire is also available in PDF format, which can be completed and sent by email.
Participate by May 15th and help shape a benchmark that better reflects the reality of goldsmithing in Portugal.
