Portojóia: “The Fair That Showcases the Best of Portuguese Craftsmanship”

Portuguese goldsmithery and Portojóia have walked side by side over the past decades, jointly embracing the growth of the sector in what is one of the longest-running fairs at Exponor.

To mark the 34th edition of Portojóia, held from September 25 to 28, the exhibition’s theme was (IM)PACT. The topic highlights the significance of this craft within the national economy, as well as the pact between traditional techniques of working precious materials and the more contemporary contours of Portuguese jewellery, resulting in fusion pieces that reflect both aspects of the art.

The 2025 edition gave special attention to emerging trends in the industry, such as sustainable design and the application of new materials and technologies in goldsmithery. It also confirmed itself as a business-enabling platform for stakeholders in the sector, promoting innovation, networking, and increasing the international visibility of professionals and brands.
