Alfândega Joias: second edition ‘more packed’
Between 10 and 12 May, Alfândega do Porto was the ‘home’ for more than 20 exhibiting companies at the second edition of Alfândega Joias. The event, which took place in a ‘minimalist and intimate atmosphere’, demonstrated the dynamics of the goldsmithing, jewelry, and watchmaking sector and confirmed that ‘it has legs’. Tiago Teixeira, the event’s mentor, spoke to JoiaPro and said that this edition ‘was very positive’.
Created out of the need to ‘bring the sector together’, Alfândega Joias was a success for the second year running. Alfândega do Porto once again opened its doors to this national event, which this year featured more than 20 exhibiting companies. The venue, under the banks of the River Douro, designed ‘to allow bringing together as many companies as possible’, attracted around 380 visitors, 180 more than the previous year.
In the words of Tiago Teixeira, the event’s mentor, this second edition ‘was much more complete, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors’. For the mentor, the evaluation of the event is ‘super positive’, mentioning that, in general, everyone was ‘very happy with the result and with the participation of so many clients’.
