Jeweller Leonor Silva launches, in November, her new collection “Because I’m a Queen”, where she shows “unique pieces guided by a powerful social message that aims to help elevate the role of women in society”. On November 27 and 28, it is possible to visit Leonor Silva’s atelier, get to know the new collection and see where everything happens.

It was precisely a year ago that jeweller Leonor Silva opened the door of her atelier for a “Dolls Tea”, to mark the “Oh my God, I can’t resist” collection. Now that the events are back, the invitation to get to know the new “Because I’m a Queen” collection is reinforced. The public can visit the jeweller’s atelier on November 27 and 28, from 10am to 7pm, at Oficina Oito – Rua Abade Faria, 8 A, in Lisbon.

Using artisanal methods, Leonor Silva’s jewellery carries a message of empowerment and strength in the feminine, with humour or irony. The combination of materials, such as silver or gold, with woods, fabrics, resins, stones, give soul to each jewel.

Created in 2017, the Leonor Silva Jewellery brand has not stopped surprising the public, critics and contest juries. In September 2017, the jeweller was the winner of the “Best Of Portojoia – Revelation Designer 2017” Award. The following year, she received the “PortoJoia Award” at the “Collectiva International Meeting” and the “Designer of Excellence” award from the Korea Jewelry Design Association. In 2019 he has again repeated the awards at the two fairs. And in December 2020, for the third consecutive year, the recognition comes to him from South Korea.

The theme of its latest collection “Because I’m a Queen” is the motto for the atmosphere of the event that praises the role of women in society.

“Because I’m a Queen” is a tribute to women and their right to decide on their own actions. According to the latest UN report only 55% of women in the world have decision-making power over their bodies and their actions with all the implied aggravating factors for the achievement of gender equality. “Because I’m a Queen” is the argument for the objections that question our decisions”, defends the author who has already accustomed the public to reflect on the world around us through her jewellery.
